Summary:
A machine builder is responsible for designing, building, and installing machines that are used in various industries such as manufacturing, construction, and agriculture. They work closely with clients to understand their business needs and design machines that meet those needs. Using blueprints, sketches, and models, machine tool builders assemble and build custom automation solutions. They may also assemble subassemblies and finished assemblies
Responsibilities:
- Must have knowledge of building and assembling machinery
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Must have basic machining skills
- Must be able to use hand and power tools
- Must have knowledge of tool functions GD&T
- Must have fundamental knowledge of GD&T
- High level interpersonal skills
- Fits and assembles components according to assembly blueprints, build standards, sketches, and knowledge of machine construction.
- Aligns components for assembly manually or with hoists and cranes
- Must have own tool box
