Summary:
An Assistant Accountant will Maintain company ledgers and daily financial transactions. Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, pay-orders, payables, receivables and purchase orders. Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them.
Accounting Assistant Responsibilities
- Customer Purchase order tracking, facilitation, administration
- Sort, code, and match invoices to the correct customer purchase order
- Track PO’s and keep spreadsheet updated
- Set invoices up for payment – enter and upload into the system
- Review and verify invoices and check request
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Track and follow up on aged AR
- Enter receivables/ create deposit
- Daily Bank deposits
- Credit Card data entry
- Maintain vendor files
- Enter payables
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Track Expenses, and process expense reports
- Annual Reporting- assist CFO
- Contractor License Renewal – assist CFO
- Directly assist CFO with any accounting items
- Filing
- General administrative assistance to accounting
Requirements and skills:
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior organizational skills
- Exceptional time management skills
- Proficient speaking, writing, reading English/Spanish bilingual, preferred
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Excel
- Other tasks as needed
