Summary:

Program robots by performing the following duties under the direction of the robot programmer supervisor.

***Experience with FORD,STELLANTIS or GM standards is a plus***

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Reviews drawing package for correct interface, verifies that the interface matches application.
  • Powers up robot and Calibrate.
  • Downloads OLP programs.
  • Set up Binding Table / I/O.
  • Configures Robot D-Net / I/O Communication.
  • Teaches robot path programs: Weld, Material Handling, Maintenance, Tip Dress etc.
  • Set up signals between Robot / PLC interface.
  • Debugs programs in slow speed and verify all signal’s to and from the PLC.
  • Mounts hard stops accordingly.
  • Set up Software Limits to match hard stops.
  • Debugs auto repeat with PLC Programmer.
  • Assists pipefitter & electrician with resolving robot dressing problems.
  • Runs metal and verifies weld spot locations.
  • Makes necessary changes to achieve cycle time.
  • Documents all changes to robot programs and End-Effector sequence changes.
  • Supports FIS / Tech Review / 20 hr. / 2500 cycle run.
  • Assists with customer buy-off.
  • Participates in TR studies as required.
  • Documents all broken robot equipment that has been replaced.
  • Backs up robot programs and parameters to assigned secure drive.
  • Understands and follows safety and environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns.
  • Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement.
  • Conducts themselves during installation in the field as a CLIENT representative.
  • Provides all backup and documentation to Robot Leader after project is installed and running production.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Works alongside with PLC debug group as a team
